Homeowners and a residents of Nisqually Meadows HOA:

At the last board meeting it was agreed that we would be removing post approvals from this page to allow everyone to post as needed and allow the quick sharing of information, especially for urgent matters. The reason post approvals were originally enacted was because a previous incident was posted to the Facebook page on a work day, during business hours, and before anyone from the board was off work and able to see or respond, we had multiple people either calling or coming to our places of employment and/or getting very upset that we had not responded to the post on this page. It was suggested, discussed, and agreed during the meeting that as a condition of removing post approvals, anyone who breaks the rules of the page or contacts a board member at their place of employment will be immediately and permanently removed from the page. The rules of the page were updated to reflect this and a post was made sharing the updated rules. Earlier today, an individual made a post which broke multiple rules. This person has been permanently removed from the page. This is a reminder to review the rules of this page. If homeowners have an issue they need to discuss with the board, then they need to contact the board in a civil matter. The board and ACC Committee need to be treated with the same respect we are giving homeowners.

Homeowner comment: The HOA is a paid community organization that is designed to promote and maintain a healthy living environment. I am not sure that blocking people from a community site because they do not agree with you is the best way forward. We have bylaws, follow them, or there are consequences. As a whole, we should care more about our community even more now with the crime and homeless camps encroaching on our community. If this is not the case, why do we have an HOA, and where is our money going? Maybe it is time that more people attend meetings, including myself. HOA response: As stated in our post, this person was NOT removed for "not agreeing". They were removed for violating the rules of this page by posting a profanity laced post.

As far as your concerns about the board not following bylaws, do you have specific concerns you would like us to address? We are happy to address any concerns you have. Please send us any bylaws you feel we are not following and we will be happy to address that.

Regarding your financial concerns: the HOA finances are gone over at every board meeting and the minutes are posted on our website for your review. The board is NOT a "paid community". The board is made of volunteers who also live and pay dues in this development. We do not get paid anything for serving this community. I personally spend the equivalent of a part time job on my position on the board on a regular basis and do not get paid anything. Your dues go to maintaining the development. Again, all expenses of the HOA can be viewed under the financial discussion in board meeting minutes.

There you can find all of our bylaws, ACC Regulations, Meeting Minutes, etc. here on the site HOA email: hoa@nisquallymeadowshoa.com or contact us under contact us tab and fill out form
